Endear - Product Designer

Our software helps retail teams build stronger customer relationships through thoughtful, intuitive technology. From clienteling and customer capture to appointments and in-store experiences, Endear gives brands the tools they need to create more personal interactions and drive measurable growth. We work with brands like Allbirds, Reformation, and Alo Yoga, and were continuing to evolve Endear into an increasingly AI-first product built around how modern retail teams actually work. Position Overview Were looking for a Product Designer to join our IRL (in real life) team, which owns the in-store side of Endear  including appointments, events, customer check-ins, and the administrative experiences behind those workflows. Youll design for store associates and managers running clienteling day to day, as well as admin users who help shape how those teams operate and manage their workflows. In this role, youll own features and projects from understanding the problem through research, testing, iteration, and production-ready design, while partnering closely with our Head of Product Design on vision and direction. The IRL roadmap is early. Many of these features dont exist yet, so youll be defining problems through research before designing solutions. This role is well suited for someone comfortable creating clarity when the solution isnt obvious. What Youll Accomplish In your first 6 months, youll& " Take ownership of IRL features from discovery through production-ready design " Build a strong understanding of how store associates, managers, and admin users work within Endear " Run research from early discovery through usability testing " Design complete, accessible product experiences, including loading, empty, error, permission, and other key states. " Partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape solutions early in the process " Use customer insight and data to inform design decisions and iteration In your first year, youll& " Build deeper ownership across the IRL product " Deliver product experiences that improve how retail teams manage clienteling and in-store workflows " Build a strong rhythm of discovery, testing, and continuous learning " Strengthen your collaboration across Design, Product, and Engineering " Demonstrate clear user and business impact through the work you ship Youll Thrive in This Role If& " You enjoy taking ownership of a feature while collaborating closely on the broader vision and direction " Youre comfortable with ambiguity and zero-to-one product work " You naturally think beyond the happy path and account for edge cases and complete product states " You care about creating accessible experiences and solving the right problem, not just creating polished UI " You enjoy working closely with Product and Engineering throughout the design process " Youre comfortable using research, data, and customer feedback to guide decisions " You move quickly, seek feedback, and iterate based on what you learn " Youre curious about designing for AI You Have Experience With " 25 years working in product design " Independently owning features from discovery through implementation, with support on vision and direction " Running user research from discovery through usability testing " Translating broad or ambiguous problems into clear product solutions " Working closely with Design, Product, and Engineering teams " Designing complex, accessible workflows and accounting for loading, empty, error, and permission states " Using qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions " Building within established design patterns while knowing when something needs to evolve " Using AI tools as part of your workflow and applying judgment to AI-generated output " A portfolio that demonstrates strong product thinking and execution, and where you can articulate the impact of your work, with data where you had access to it Align With What We Value At Endear, we live by five core principles. About the Team Endears product organization is structured across three product teams: AI, IRL, and Core Flows, with one designer dedicated to each. As the IRL designer, youll work closely with a Product Manager and 23 Engineers while also being part of Endears three-person design team. Youll report to the Head of Product Design, who will provide vision, direction, mentorship, and support as you grow in the role. Youll partner most closely with: " Head of Product Design: vision, direction, mentorship, feedback, and design leadership " Product Team: roadmap alignment, priorities, customer needs, and business context " Engineering Team: feasibility, implementation, and iteration Youll have access to mentorship, an education budget, and support around Endears AI processes to help you continue developing your craft and expanding how you use AI in your work.
